EDF Renewables Australia

Contributing to the Local Economy

EDF Renewables Australia knows the construction and operation of wind, solar and other renewable energy projects can impact local communities. This is why EDF Renewables is committed to meaningful engagement and working with stakeholders to make sure we meet our project goals in the most economic, environmental and socially responsible ways possible.

The EDF Renewables Australia team is passionate about working with local communities and the development of sustainable renewable energy projects.

We are committed to regular, open and transparent community consultation and will continue to engage with the Banana and Biloela communities throughout the life of the project

Community Benefits Fund

EDF Renewables Australia intend to establish a Community Benefit Agreement with Banana Shire Council following the social impact assessment for the project in 2025. The fund will provide financial support for community-based initiatives and projects that produce lasting community benefits and reflect local priorities.
