Dawson Wind Farm

The Dawson Wind Farm is located in the heart of Central Queensland, within Banana Shire Council, approximately 20km west of the town of Biloela and 120km south-west of Gladstone.

The Dawson Wind Farm is starting the initial studies for Development and EPBC approval.

The initial layout includes up to 70 wind turbines with a total capacity of 560 MW.

The Dawson Wind Farm's footprint overlaps with the traditional lands of the Gaangalu Nation People and Wulli Wulli People.

A Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP) has been signed with the Wulli Wulli People in 2024, and preliminary field surveys have been undertaken on meteorological mast sites.

We appreciate the opportunity to work with the Gaangalu Nation People and are committed to ongoing engagement to establish an agreement that ensures the protection and maintenance of cultural heritage sites within the project area.
